Class agents play an important role in communicating information about classmates to Leelanau. News about your class, including individual accomplishments and honors, is a vital ingredient in developing pride in your school, both in terms of fostering pride among your classmates, and creating a sense of pride in alumni accomplishments which can be shared by current members of the school community.

Class agents also play a key role in organizing their reunion. Reunions are generally featured every five years following graduation with special emphasis on the 10th, 25th, and 50th anniversaries. With increased alumni interest the past several years, we are finding that more alumni choose to return every year with those classes celebrating special reunion anniversaries.

Finally, class agents contact their fellow classmates for support to the Annual Fund campaign which commences with the Annual Report mailed in October of each year. Class agents will communicate to each of their classmates by letter, phone, or e-mail regarding donations.

The following classes need class agents:

1940, 1941, 1942, 1944, 1945
1954, 1958
1961, 1962, 1963, 1967
1970, 1975, 1979
1987, 1989
1993

Please contact the Alumni Office at (231) 334-5848 or alumni@leelanau.org if you have interest in becoming a class agent.
