Health Services
Health Services are provided by a full time certified licensed nurse. Nursing services include: first aid, infirmary care, referrals to medical professionals and specialists, medication management, immunizations, drug testing, health education, and smoking cessation counseling. An infirmary which holds six beds is also available on campus.
The Counseling Program
The Leelanau School provides counseling support to students. The school’s full time licensed counselor is available for crisis intervention, for short term counseling, and for assisting students in finding other resources when needed.
Licensed therapists from the community are utilized per agreement with students and parents. The Grand Traverse community offers a wide variety of professional services for counseling, psycho-educational testing, substance abuse assessments, and support. The school's counselor coordinates most of these services and the parents of the student carry the expense. The school has counselors available who provide their services on school grounds to reduce the loss of academic time.
